Consultation and Examination
Discuss your goals, health history, pregnancy plans and preferred appearance. Measurements and examination help identify asymmetry and define which options may be suitable.
PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY IN KLANG
Dr Agnes Yeo provides personalised breast augmentation using breast implants or fat grafting, selected according to your anatomy, existing asymmetry, desired volume and individual goals.
Ask About a ConsultationBreast augmentation, also called augmentation mammoplasty, is surgery to increase or restore breast volume and modify breast shape. It may be considered for naturally small breasts, volume loss after pregnancy or weight change, differences between the breasts, or a preference for greater fullness and projection.
At Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre in Klang, Dr Agnes Yeo assesses each patient individually. The consultation considers breast width, tissue thickness, skin quality, nipple and breast-fold position, chest-wall anatomy and the patient’s goals before discussing suitable options.
Implants can provide a larger and more predictable increase in volume than fat grafting. Selection involves implant width, projection, volume and shape, as well as the amount of natural tissue available to cover the implant.
Fat grafting transfers a patient’s own fat from another area of the body to the breasts. It may suit selected patients seeking a modest volume increase, contour refinement or correction of a localised difference.
The same implant can look different on different bodies. A useful consultation links the patient’s preferred appearance with measurements and the limits of their tissues.
Breast base width, skin stretch and tissue thickness help define an appropriate implant range and how well implant edges may be covered.
Profile describes how far an implant projects relative to its width. A higher profile is not automatically better; it must fit the anatomy and intended shape.
Implant position and incision location are selected according to anatomy, tissue coverage, implant choice and surgical objectives.
Differences in volume, shape, nipple level and breast-fold height are documented before selecting implants or considering additional correction.
Some difference between the breasts is common. Asymmetry may involve breast volume, width, shape, nipple height, the level of the inframammary fold beneath the breast, or the chest wall itself.
Using identical implants does not always create the closest possible match. Depending on the cause and degree of asymmetry, planning may include different implant volumes or profiles, selective fat grafting, adjustment of a breast fold, or another breast procedure. Implant surgery alone cannot correct every difference, particularly a marked difference in nipple position or breast droop.

The aim is improvement, not guaranteed perfect symmetry.
Breast augmentation may increase naturally small breast volume, restore some fullness lost after pregnancy or weight change, and modify breast projection in proportion to the patient’s frame.
It may also improve selected differences in breast volume or shape. The appropriate approach depends on the underlying anatomy rather than the concern alone.
An implant adds volume, but it cannot correct every degree of breast droop, low nipple position or structural asymmetry. A breast lift or another procedure may sometimes be more suitable.
Discuss your goals, health history, pregnancy plans and preferred appearance. Measurements and examination help identify asymmetry and define which options may be suitable.
If surgery is appropriate, Dr Agnes Yeo will discuss implant or fat-grafting choices, incision and implant position where relevant, anaesthesia, expected scars, limitations and potential risks.
Recovery varies between patients and procedures. Light daily activity may be possible during the early recovery period, while driving, lifting and strenuous exercise may need to be restricted according to personalised advice.
Swelling and tightness generally reduce over time. Breast shape and implant position continue to settle over the following weeks and months, with follow-up arranged according to clinical need.
Breast augmentation is surgery and results cannot be guaranteed. General surgical risks include bleeding, infection, wound-healing problems, scarring and anaesthetic complications.
Implant-related considerations include capsular contracture, implant rupture, implant movement or rotation, visible rippling, asymmetry, altered nipple or breast sensation and the possibility of revision surgery. Rare implant-associated conditions and the monitoring recommended for the chosen device should also be discussed.
Future assessment or surgery may be required because of implant changes, ageing, pregnancy, weight change, complications or a change in personal preference. Your consultation should include the expected follow-up for the implant selected.

Many patients can breastfeed after breast augmentation, but no operation can guarantee future breastfeeding. Surgical technique, individual anatomy and other factors can affect milk production, so future pregnancy plans should be discussed during consultation.
Breast screening remains important after augmentation. Tell the imaging centre that you have implants so the team can use appropriate views and techniques. Follow the screening advice recommended for your age, risk factors and implant type.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding can change breast volume, skin and shape, which may alter an augmentation result. The timing is personal and should be discussed in relation to pregnancy plans, health and expectations.
Implants add volume but do not reliably correct every degree of breast droop or low nipple position. Some patients may benefit from a breast lift, with or without augmentation. Examination is needed to explain the trade-offs and scars involved.
